OUR LEGACY
The Christu Bandhu Kulam Ashram of the Mar Thoma Church was started in 1952 by our founding fathers Rev. A.M Abraham, Rev. M.P Thomas, Rev. A.T Chacko and Mr. Kurien Alexander. It was in the 1950s that Satna Ashram ventured into the field of education as per the requests of the local municipal authorities.
In the year 1966, a small lamp was lit by Rev. A. T. Chacko & Mrs. Mary Chacko with eleven students and was named as Christukula Mission School. In the year 1989, when Very Rev. Dr. C.A. Varghese joined the light was still shining and we had 476 children- the institution grew to the name Christukula Mission Higher Secondary School running under MP Board.
In 1992, we had again Enlightened and Christukula Mission Higher Secondary School got affiliation under the ICSE Board, New Delhi with 841 students making it the second school in Madhya Pradesh to achieve so.
Today, as in 2021, we have grown into the Christukula Mission Institutions of Education. So now we feel the small lamp lit in 1966 is fully enlightened and can spread the light to many more. Our sister Institutions are as follows:
- Christukula Mission Home At School (HATS): for the specially talented students
- Christukula Mission Women’s English Medium College: the first English Medium College of Vindhya Region
- Christukula Mission B.Ed. College: for Teacher Aspirants
- Christukula Mission Mar Thoma Gram Jyoti School: a Hindi Medium School with classes LKG to STD 10
- Christukula Mission Atal Tinkering Lab: a skill development lab sponsored by NITI Aayog, Government of India.
